The finish used on the Ambiance Collection Prefinished Hardwood Flooring is applied by a series of soft rollers with each layer being cured with UV light after its application and before the next layer is applied.
The finish consists of a total of 8 layers of coatings with each layer specially formulated to perform a specific function within the finish system to ensure the best possible appearance and durability. Before application, each coating is carefully measured to make sure it results in the finest adhesion to the previous layer. During the process, each piece of flooring passes through a 4-head sander to guarantee consistent thickness for the best possible application. In addition, a reverse-fill machine fills the natural pores of the wood for a smooth, clean finish.
The Aluminum Oxide is added to the finish to give it outstanding wear characteristics in both residential applications and commercial traffic areas. Our finish is an incredibly durable finish and we stand behind it with a 25-year warranty.
