Moreland Company USA guarantees that Ambiance Collection Hardwood Flooring is free from manufacturing defects and will remain free of manufacturing defects for as long as the original residential purchaser owns and lives in the property where our flooring has been installed.
Products are guaranteed as long as the flooring is installed by a flooring installation professional in compliance with installation guidelines set forth by N.O.F.M.A. and the N.W.F.A. These are industry standards and are available by calling 1-800-422-4556 or visiting their respective websites at: http://www.nofma.org/installation.htm and http://www.nwfa.org/member/.
If any portion of your Ambiance Collection prefinished hardwood flooring should fail with respect to the provisions of these warranties to the original residential purchaser, Moreland Company USA will, at all the company’s option:
(A) Repair, or
(B) Replace, or
(C) Refinish, or
(D) Refund the full cost (including installation cost) of the portion
of the floor which has failed to perform consistently within the terms
of these limited prefinished product warranties
Pre-Installation
Requirements
Environment and temperature should be noted to ensure acclimation. Each
plank of flooring should be inspected before installation. If a defect
is discovered during installation, it is the responsibility of the homeowner/installer
to notify the dealer of the defect(s) upon discovery. No defective or
damaged material is to be installed.
Moreland Company USA guarantees a grade/manufacturing defect tolerance that does not exceed the 5% industry standard. Natural characteristics of the species, such as color variation, are not considered a factory defect. If any character trait of any piece of Ambiance Collection prefinished flooring is unacceptable, you may consider cutting the undesired characteristic off before installing it. This, however, will not result in a replacement piece. Minor variations in plank thickness do occur and is normal between planks. Damage due to transportation, storage, and installation is not covered under this warranty.
Exclusions
Indentations, scratches or surface damages caused by, but not limited
to lack of proper maintenance, stains caused by misuse, negligence, abnormal
use, accidents, spiked heeled shoes, vacuum cleaners and other mechanical
equipment, fire, erosion, pebbles, sand, dirt, light exposure, abrasives,
insufficient prevention/protection in the kitchen and underneath furniture,
extreme environmental conditions (excessive heat, humidity or dryness),
insects, pets, erosion, naturally occurring wood characteristics, water
and/or moisture damage caused by, but not limited to broken or leaky pipes,
weather damage, overflowed tubs or sinks, washing machines, dishwashers,
wet mopping, natural disasters or any similar damage. Installation over
radiant heat will void this warranty.
Color variations are a natural occurrence in flooring due to age, species, and exposure to UV light. These mild color variations are not covered under this warranty.
Hardwood flooring is a natural product and therefore, the warranty does not cover natural expansion and contraction from seasonal moisture level changes resulting in any separation between planks.
If a flooring installation professional does not do the original installation, this warranty is invalid. This warranty does not cover any repair, replacement, refund, or reimbursement for reinstallation costs, labor, or material for replacement of product that was not properly installed.
WARRANTIES UNDER THIS AGREEMENT ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE.
25-Year Finish GuaranteeMoreland Company USA guarantees to the original purchaser that 90% of the total floor surface area of its prefinished hardwood flooring finish will not wear through or separate from the wood for 25-years from date of purchase, when properly inspected, installed and maintained and used under normal residential traffic conditions.
Exclusions
Warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by improper installation
of the finished product, abuse or improper use of the finished product
(including but not limited to use of abrasives on the finished product,
sliding heavy objects across the finished product, damage caused by water
or moisture changes, damage caused by spiked heals, insufficient protection
from furniture, pebbles, sand or other abrasives, and other forms of abuse
or improper use). Warranty does not cover color changes caused by exposure
to light, sunlight or ultraviolet radiation. Warranty does not cover gloss
retention as gloss reduction normally occurs and is not a finish defect.
Warranty is void if additional finish material is applied to the product.
Slight color variations and indentions in wood grain are normal, and are not covered by warranty. Changes or variations in gloss are not considered defects. Due to color variations of product and samples, Moreland Company USA is not responsible to the consumer for matching flooring to existing flooring, cabinets, stair railing, trim, moldings, etc.
Warranty does not cover finished product installed with obvious finish defects.
WARRANTIES UNDER THIS AGREEMENT ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE.
Provisions
The Warranties described above apply only to prefinished Moreland Company
USA products and are given to the original residential purchaser only.
These warranties do not extend to commercial purchasers or commercial
uses.
No dealer, installer, retailer, distributor, agent, or employee of Moreland Company USA has the authority to alter any Moreland Company USA Warranty.

All claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days after the discovery of any defect.
Moreland Company USA reserves the right to have a representative inspect the floors and remove samples for analysis. Moreland Company USA has the right to repair, refinish, or replace, at no cost to you, the same product or another product of equal value, any portion of flooring that fails with respect to the provisions of these warranties.
Consent from Moreland Company USA is mandatory prior to any warranty repair or replacement.
